Training for

Mas de Peyrelongue

Both a training centre and an equestrian tourism centre, Le Mas de Peyrelongue overlooks the Célé valley in the Lot, near Figeac. On an estate of 50 hectares of woods and meadows, more than thirty horses live in semi-natural conditions around a traditional farmhouse.

Our teaching approach

Why break-in training?

Nowadays, few training courses offer a real pedagogical component in the education of young horses, and quality training courses, often aimed at young graduates, are often long and consequently rather expensive.
It's a sad fact that many horses are "missed" at breaking-in, often due to a lack of knowledge.
Our aim with the DCL course is therefore to offer people who are already professionals and more experienced the chance to specialize in breaking-in techniques through a short, intensive course.

And why the leisure horse?

We have chosen to focus our training on the leisure horse because our history at Mas de Peyrelongue is linked to outdoor equestrian activities. Our structure and our trainers offer a privileged environment and real expertise in the riding and education of outdoor horses. What's more, foals born to recreational horses generally have better specific training (spatial awareness, body management, social codes). This makes it easier to establish calm communication and get their education off to a good start. Finally, certain equestrian disciplines (racing, dressage, etc.) require a particular approach to work and living conditions.

Labelled "Well-being of the horse".

Our teaching team ensures that the breaking-in process respects the physical and behavioral integrity of each horse. Each horse's education is tailored to its temperament and motor skills. As a result, our approach differs according to the horse treated, and is not based on a fixed breaking-in method. Your trainers will be keen to pass on their technical tools and experience, while helping you to develop your own skills.

The Mas de Peyrelongue has been awarded the "Well-being of the horse" label by the FFE. We offer our horses a living environment in line with their needs and do everything possible to ensure their well-being at work.

They trusted us:

Gwladys Lecarpentier spent four years training technicians at the Moroccan National Stud (SOREC) in breaking-in, equestrian artists at the Marrakech Academy, equitherapists (Centre multi-handicap Paris XIV°, Nehom) and future professionals for the European Training Center (CEF), notably by writing school textbooks on horse education.
