Frequently asked questions - DCL training at Mas de Peyrelongue

Can I take the DCL if I'm not yet a professional or don't have an FFE diploma?
To sit the BFEEE1 exam, the diplomas required as prerequisites are compulsory. However, depending on your level on foot and on horseback as assessed during the positioning test, you can follow the same training path and qualify for the DCL skills certificate. Galops and Savoirs (depending on your level) can be validated at an additional cost during the training period. To qualify for a professional diploma, we suggest you first take our our Equestrian Tourism Accompanist training course (6 months).

If you are coming from abroad, you may be asked to provide proof of your level on horseback and on foot from a professional, as well as a video, before entering the course. You will still be required to take a placement test to validate your enrolment.

Are weekends free?
During the training periods, the learning rhythm is from Monday to Friday at a rate of 35 hours per week. Weekends are therefore free (except during ethological riding courses organized at Mas de Peyrelongue).

Are there any vacations during the DCL course?
The course includes two weeks' vacation at the end of the year and at the end of February/beginning of March.
