The Program

From enchanting landscapes to villages steeped in history, from gourmet meals to wonderful discoveries, your stay will make you appreciate the many facets of the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park.

  • Saturday: You arrive at the Mas de Peyrelongue in the late afternoon. After a visit of the property and a first meeting with our horses, we will share a drink and dinner.
  • Sunday: After breakfast, a first horseback ride around the property will allow you to familiarize yourself with your mount and discover the area in the company of your guide. Lunch is taken at the Mas. The afternoon will be devoted to discovering the magnificent medieval village of St Cirq Lapopie, one of France's most beautiful villages and voted France's favorite village in 2014. Dinner at the Mas.
  • Monday : Breakfast at Le Mas. Departure for a two-part ride with picnic at the Puy-Blanc ponds, a protected natural area on the site of a former clay quarry. Four hours on horseback. On your return to the Mas, relax and enjoy an evening of local wine tasting!
  • Tuesday: Breakfast at Le Mas. Another hike on the Causse, in the direction of the Menhir de Bélinac, a symbol of the long-standing human presence on our territory. After lunch at Le Mas, we visit the Pech Merle cave with its moving prehistoric murals. Dinner at Le Mas.
  • Wednesday: Breakfast at the Mas. The horses rest. We set off by car for the Gouffre de Padirac and its boat trip to discover one of France's most majestic underground rivers. We'll have lunch on the heights of Rocamadour before visiting the town and its sanctuary built right into the cliff. Return to Le Mas in the late afternoon for dinner.
  • Thursday: Breakfast at the Mas. We will meet our mounts for a full day of horseback riding. After a descent into the valley through the authentic village of Corn, you will pass in front of the mysterious spring of Bual, take a wooded part of the way of St Jacques before a deserved lunch break at the priory of Espagnac. In the afternoon, you will go back up to the south side of the valley to follow the ridges and enjoy the view before returning to the north side to find the property. In the evening, head for the Grézalide for a subtle dinner by the chef Pascal Dezutter!
  • Friday : Breakfast at the Mas and departure. Do not hesitate to take advantage of the weekend to continue your discovery of our beautiful department. We are at your service to propose you choices of visits, accommodation or restaurants to discover!

L'hébergement

We welcome you in our traditional Mas recently renovated. On the ground floor, you will appreciate the original paving made of Causse stones, the traditional fireplace (Cantou) and our lounge area giving directly onto the shaded terrace, the private garden and our large swimming pool.
On the first floor, three bedrooms allow us to welcome up to 6 participants maximum and guarantee you a warm and family atmosphere. The bathroom, shared, is composed of two independent shower cubicles and the toilets are separate. A small reading area is installed in the patio.

The Mas is surrounded by 50 hectares of varied nature in which our horses live. You can walk or ride along the paths and discover our open-air photographic exhibition.

Meals

The Lot is well known for its gastronomy. So we're going to honor it and offer you tasty, home-cooked dishes throughout your stay, using fresh and, for the most part, regional produce. We offer a vegetarian/vegan menu option for those who prefer it.
All meals are included in the price of our stay and form an integral part of the Mas de Peyrelongue experience.
A special wine-tasting evening and an evening in a semi-gastronomic restaurant are also on the program.

Our Horses

About thirty horses live on the property in large parks. Of various sizes and breeds, they are all educated with respect to their nature and personality, using a behavioural approach. On the day of your arrival, we will show you around the farm to discover all our animals, their living conditions and meet your future companion!

Equestrian level required
Riders participating in this trip must be comfortable at all 3 paces outdoors. The rhythm of the rides will be different according to the days, depending on the nature of the terrain crossed.
